Who I Am

Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’ve lost my writing mojo, so hopefully documenting my crafty goals will get me into a regular schedule. I always struggle with what to write here, so here are the basics:

  • I’ve been an obsessive knitter since grad school (~2010), though I learned to knit as a child from my grandmother (I know, it’s cliche).
  • My day job is teaching at a college in Minnesota. By night, I also work and teach at a LYS that I love. I’ve learned so much about yarn, knitting, and creative problem solving.
  • I have a Gigi, a demon in the guise of an adorable Russian Blue. She gets into loads of trouble and has a preference for (stealing) Addis and alpaca. The internet is full of cats and mine is just another one, but I’m partial to her.
  • I am terrible at taking pictures. I try my best, but really, I’m never going to get Photograph of the Year. Then again, I’m not getting an expensive equipment either; it’s just not going to happen. I’d rather knit.
  • An Ashford Traditional wheel joined my life in August 2015 and a Louet Victoria in 2016. I love them dearly and spin quite often. I’m still a baby spinner, but I’m getting better.
